Adam Leggett, LGPC has worked in mental health in various capacities over the last decade. Prior to switching his career interests to healthcare marketing and outreach, as a therapist Adam received training for patients with eating disorders using techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Mindfulness. Adam has spent time working as a therapist in New York City and North Carolina and comes to Aloria by way of a peer facility on the East Coast. Adam’s drive is working collaboratively with field and industry leaders to support the efforts to increase market awareness of our healthcare system, while also educating the world about the lethality risks of an eating disorder and how to seek care without barriers. Adam works on market strategy and supports the operational maturity of Aloria’s growing organization. Adam volunteers with the Gay Men’s Health and Wellness Clinic in Washington, DC to provide screening and counseling for individuals needing care. He serves as a team leader with the Eating Disorders Coalition in Washington, DC and is on the marketing committee for Rock Recovery, a Washington, DC based outpatient not-for-profit treatment program for individuals needing low/no cost eating disorder treatment. Adam is a graduate of Bernard Baruch College with a Master of Arts in Mental Health. When he is not traveling for work or volunteering he enjoys spending time with his dog, and playing darts and bocce.
